My whole body was doing somersaults, I pretty much couldn’t breath. Waiting for your name to be called was like waiting a life time. Finally the announcer called me up to the starting line. Generally when I am nervous I don’t tend to to do as well. I had some stiff competition to, so that didn’t help either. My heart was beating so fast I thought it might come out of my chest.  Then the announcer called out ‘ On your marks, get set, go”! We raced. My nerves go the best of me. I guess thats why i’m always last!
